Dog Breeds in AKC Herding Group
The main job of the Herding group can be considered herding livestock. Sheep and cattle dogs belong to this group. Herding group involved in the race to control the movement of other animals with the skills and wishes known that they are often flocks of sheep and cows. Some breeds do not irritate the animals in the herd and just shows the direction of gaze, while others do it by series of controlled barking or with small contact. Some breeds have sheep gathering capabilities, the ability to pursue some of sheep and cattle are very dominant. They are very loyal and most of the dog breeds in the herding group are very intelligent. Collie is one of the most popular and loved dog breed in this AKC group.
